Patio door shutters can be painted or stained to match they die. Resulting in a more consistent overall look than fabric window treatments. Roman shades come in a myriad of variations. Depending on fabric choices and rain. The classic Roman shadow folds in a stack as homeowners raise it. When lowered, the shadow simply appears as a piece of flat fabric.
Patio door shutters can be placed either inside or outside the window frame, but they must be “wing mounted” or attached to the bottom of the window frame to prevent them from swinging out of the door. The shadow may rise in itself, even fold or rigged to rise through the center causing folds to fall into a fan form. Another different look for a Roman shadow is to insert the rain just a few inches from the outer edges so when it’s raised, the sides fall into small fans.
