Installing Bifold Patio Doors
Bifold Patio Doors allow a lot of sunshine through their wide open glass surfaces, but not so much privacy. Laminate curtains allow you to adjust for the desired amount of sunlight and privacy, and when you need quick access to the door, they slide completely out of the way, allowing you to come and go freely. Installing them only takes about 30 minutes and a few simple tools. An outside bracket best over patio doors like the frame is usually too shallow for an interior mount.
Check all the pieces in the box to confirm that you have all the Bifold Patio Doors, and that you know what each part is. There are several different types of brackets that vary slightly in performance but are mostly the same. Find the center of the doorway through measurement left to right at the top. Put a small pencil just above the door road in the center. Find the middle of the overlap the same way and put a similar brand on it. Once the two brands are upholstered you know the blinds will be centered on the door.
Measure four inches in from Bifold Patio Doors end of the overlap and put a piece of masking tape on the front of it at the 4-inch spacing. This is usually about 1 inch from the floor. Mark the top of the wing with a pen. Keep overlap on the wall above the door and line two center points up. The wing fasteners inside the main rail should be the same height as the bucket mark on the wall. Mark a 2-inch horizontal line on the wall even with the top of the top and at each end where the masking tape is. Pull mask tape off.
