Building Rectangular Ottoman Coffee Table
Rectangular Ottoman Coffee Table is the furniture commonly found in most family rooms. Some coffee tables are not built stable and wrapped or rolled over. It’s dangerous near kids, pets and older people who might drive into it. One solution is to build a stable base coffee table. The new base allows builders to customize the table by using the top of the old table.
Lift the Rectangular Ottoman Coffee Table from a weak base and foot. Measure on the coffee table with measuring tape. With the straight end of the carpenter and the pen marking the top measurement on a 1 inch thick piece of plywood. Another option is to put the table upside down on plywood and track around the edges. Cut the shape on the plywood with a sable saw. Follow the lines that are closely tracked. Smoothing the rough edges of cut-out plywood with sandpaper. Use sandpaper to equalize the pre-toe legs as well. Rub the color or scratch from the top before painting or paint will not stick to the surface properly.
Mark 1 inch from the edge of each corner of the Rectangular Ottoman Coffee Table shape. Raise your feet and glue to plywood with wood. When partially dry, rotate the top and bottom. Put your foot into plywood with 3 inch long wood screws and an electric screwdriver. Use 3:57 screws to secure each leg and create a strong and stable base. Fasten the top of the coffee table to the foot with many screws. Patches all screw holes with wooden kittens. When the wood is peeling off, paint the coffee table with the desired color. Remember to color the bottom too.
